Ethos and Values

At Bradon Forest School our vision is to challenge and support our students to become the best young adults they can possibly be. Our students are encouraged to achieve beyond their expectations combining academic success with a range of additional opportunities that help them develop as people as well as learners.

Our success is based upon six core messages:

  • We will be the best person we can be.
  • We will respect ourselves, others and our community.
  • We challenge ourselves and others to be great learners.
  • We will be determined to succeed.
  • We will take every opportunity.
  • We recognise our individuality.

Through working together to meet these aims our students, staff, parents and carers forge excellent relationships that are often praised by visitors to our school. Our community fosters a learning culture in which our students aspire to be mature young adults looking forward to further education and employment.

The Department for Education have recently reinforced the need “to create and enforce a clear and rigorous expectation on all schools to promote the fundamental British values of democracy, the rule of law, individual liberty and mutual respect and tolerance of those with different faiths and beliefs.”

At Bradon Forest these values are both integral to our school values and ethos and reinforced on a daily basis as can be seen on this page.
