Post-16 Progression for Year 11

We welcomed representatives from Cirencester College, New College, Swindon College and Wiltshire College to the Post-16 Progression and Apprenticeship Evening on Wednesday 12 October 2016.

Throughout the year students in Year 11 receive a great deal of information on Post-16 Career progression but there is nothing like having an opportunity to speak to the Colleges face to face about their career aspirations. The college teams represented a diverse range of careers from Art and Design to Health Care, Business, Building, Engineering and Sports to name just a few. The event was well attended by Year 11 students and their parents who were eager to talk about Examinations, College and Employment Applications, further Education, and Apprenticeships where they could start to ‘earn and learn’. An added bonus was that students also had a chance to speak to the College Student Ambassadors, ex Bradon Forest students, who could share their own experiences.

The School’s Careers Officer was also on hand to give advice and many students booked career appointments to discuss their future.
