Data Tracking Sheets

The Data Tracker Sheets - Students Taking Responsibility for their Learning

On Tuesday your sons and daughters should have brought home their data tracker sheets for Term One. Experienced Bradon Forest parents will have seen that the format has changed to ensure parents and students know the target and predicted grades, as well as being able to track the working at grade over time.

Many parents and carers have already commented positively about the revised system and the explanatory letter in which the expected progress for a student was laid out. I hope you feel more fully informed and able to help your children.

At Bradon Forest we want the students to take greater responsibility for their learning. This can only happen with the support of staff, parents and carers. To this end our students had an extended tutor time Period 1 on Tuesday where they identified what was going well and how they could improve in Term Two. I am sure many of your sons and daughters will have shared their thoughts with you. If not please ask! It is vital that students know how they are performing but more importantly what they need to do to develop and improve. If your feel your son or daughter is still unsure about the specifics of what they need to do to develop in Term Two please encourage them to speak to their class teachers and get that detail.

Your support with this is very much appreciated.
