India Link Visit to Bradon Forest

On Thursday 13 October, Mrs Cousins, Mrs Beet and the India Link Team had the pleasure of hosting staff and students from the Salwan School in India. Salwan School is in New Dehli and was one of the places visited by our team back in Easter. Our visitors, including two members of staff and 15 students aged from 13 to 16, stopped in as part of their ten day cultural and educational tour. The visitors enjoyed a tour of the school, joined in on lessons, met with our Culture Club and shared Cultural Presentations with our India Link students.

Among the presentations was a beautifully graceful traditional Indian dance by Y11 student Roshni Vagadia, and a highly energetic and creative tap dancing piece, choreographed and performed by Keiran Jefferies from Y10.

It was an absolute pleasure to welcome visitors from Salwan School in India on Thursday. Our guests were students from the school Bradon Forest students visited on their recent trip to India. Our India Link trips really make our students think about their lives and positions in the world and one of the catalysts for these reflections is their visit to Salwan School. It was great to be able to reciprocate their hospitality at Bradon Forest - our Indian guests were incredibly complementary about the school and our students. - Dr Morrison
