Isle of Wight Trip

On Friday 6 May Mr Hutchings and Miss Mainstone took a group of Year 7 students on a weekend of adventure to the Isle of Wight. The team of 12 challenged themselves with a variety of activities including, quad biking, zip wire, abseiling, 3G swing, archery, fencing and an obstacle course.

"I'm really pleased to have been invited on the activity and team building weekend. I didn't really know many of the group and so it's given me a lot more confidence with new people." Charlie Theobold

The students all had their favourite memory from the trip, but they all agreed that Mr Hutchings tells the best bad jokes!

"My favourite bit was the archery, but it was such a great weekend. The team building sessions will definitely help with my classwork and it has encouraged me to be more of a leader." Kaitlyn Lamb

The purpose of the trip was to inspire confidence and encourage leadership skills in some of our gifted students.
