Josh Musty Badminton Success

Congratulations to Josh Musty who was selected to play in the Under 15 National Badminton Championships at the end of February 2013.  Joshua played brilliantly scooping bronze medals in both the singles and doubles. Please see the Swindon Advertiser article below from Wednesday 13 March 2013 --- Well done Josh!

Josh picked up two bronze medals at the recent Badminton England Under 15 Nationals. The Swindon junior, who is ranked number 10 in the country, was unseeded for the event at the Redbridge Sports Centre in Essex but managed to reach two semi-finals.

In the singles, Musty lost 21-12, 21-16 to England number one David Jones, who went on to win the tournament. With partner Jonathan Tang in the doubles, the Bradon Forest School pupil repeated the feat - slipping out at the semi-final stage to the third-seeded pair. Musty’s performances this season have remained consistently high. He retained his Wiltshire Under 15 title for the third year running and has been selected to play in Badminton England Under 15 Gold Star events.
