Netball Success!

The girls' sports teams are on fire at the moment! After the Basketball success last week, the Year 8 and 9 Netball teams rose to the challenge and both won the Swindon School's Tournament, beating Warneford in the finals.

Year 8's won 7-1 with Laila Young awarded player of the match. The team have won every match in the league, and went in to the final with a hunger to win. They played with a very strong defence, conceding only one goal. The movement and passing around the court was impressive and they were all proud to come out on top. Trinity Lango said, "What a team! This is the second consecutive year we are Swindon Champs!"
The Year 9 squad also remain undefeated this year and so were determined to finish 'the perfect season' and did so with a 18-11 win in the final! The team displayed accurate shooting, amazing defence and key interceptions from Katie Miles and Beth O'Neill. Player of the match was Lauren Davis-Mathis. They have won this 2 out of 3 possible years!
Mrs Evans said: "This is an amazing achievement for the girls to be Swindon School Champions for a second time. I'm really proud of how our young sportswomen have risen to the challenge this year and played their hearts out!"
