New York, Washington and Philadelphia 2015

VISIT TO USA – Saturday 14th February – Friday 20 February 2015

Plans are now being made for a school visit to the USA, visiting New York, Washington DC and Philadelphia.  The holiday is being offered to students who are presently in year 9 and 10 and will take place from Saturday 14 February to Friday 20 February 2013.  The holiday is being organised with STS who are ABTA/ATOL bonded.  We propose taking a party of approximately 40 students on this tour, which will give us the opportunity to visit the destinations and attractions listed below.

In NEW YORK we plan to visit    

Empire State Building 
Grand Central Station
Times Square
Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island
Shopping at Macy’s, Bloomingdales and on Fifth Avenue.

The Rockefeller Centre

South Street Seaport

Ground Zero/Ground Zero Exhibition Centre and Museum

Central Park

Wall Street

 New York Public Library

We also aim for students to see a Broadway Show or a sporting event subject to availability/cost.

 In WASHINGTON DC we plan to visit

Lincoln Memorial/Capitol Hill area including George Washington Memorial and Reflecting Pool

Museum of Crime

In PHILADELPHIA we plan to visit

We will visit here en-route from Washington DC to New York, with a stop of approximately 3 hours to view the Liberty Bell, and Independence Hall.

The holiday price will be £1045.00, which includes the following:

  • Fully comprehensive insurance
  • Return flights based on a London departure
  • All airport taxes
  • Airport passenger departure taxes
  • Return coach transfer between school and airport
  • Coach transfer between New York and Washington DC, via Philadelphia.
  • Return coach transfers in New York
  • Bed and Breakfast accommodation – 2 nights WASHINGTON DC and 3 nights NEW YORK.
  • Attraction costs/entry fees

Lunch and dinner is not included but we will be reasonably priced food courts at these times to allow the students to eat sensibly. Parents will need to budget approximately £15 per day for food/drinks.

To enable students to participate in this holiday they will require their own up-to-date passport, which must have an expiry date at least 6 months beyond the date of our visit.  Students will also need to apply for an Online Visa for the USA, which currently costs $14 and is not covered in the tour price.
