Pixar Awards 2016

Primary pupils from across 17 schools in Swindon and Wiltshire have been coming to Bradon Forest after school for our Project Pixar workshops.

The Pixar Primary programme aimed at Year 5 pupils to give them some insight into life at secondary school and so ease their future transition to ‘big school’ has been running for the last three months. During this period pupils have gained valuable experience interacting with peers from other schools and honing their skills. They have experienced Maths, Science, Art and Movie Soundtracks as well as getting Fit, Producing Props and Cooking up a Storm. They have produced some excellent work and also had a lot of fun along the way.

Thank you to all the staff for organising such a lovely event for the Year 5s.  My son has attended several sessions and has very much enjoyed them.  He is now looking forward to joining his brother  in 2017!

My son has thoroughly enjoyed the Bradon Forest Pixar sessions.

My son and I would like to thank you for the opportunities he has been given to be part of such an exciting project, He has really enjoyed himself.

In true film style the programme ended with an ‘Awards Ceremony’ where it was great to see so many parents, pupils and siblings attend. Headteacher, Dr Andrew Morrison commented, " It was excellent to see so many students excited about being in Bradon. Lots of parents stopped me to express how impressed they had been with the activities and the way in which they and their children had been welcomed into our school."

I would personally like to say a big thank you to all of the students who have attended the Pixar sessions. It has been wonderful to see so many of you growing in confidence and developing new skills. I would like to thank parents and carers who have taken the time to bring your children over to the school. Without your efforts, it would be incredibly difficult for the programme to run as smoothly. And finally I would like to thank the staff who have taken the time to organise and deliver the sessions. It has been a great success!
