Primary pupils animated by Pixar

Our Project Pixar workshops for Primary Year 5 pupils started in January 2016. This is the second year of running the programme and we have seen pupils from seventeen schools in the area. So far they have experienced a wide variety of activities such as the Maths behind Creating Characters, the Science involved with cinema productions, Pixar character modelling out of clay and Producing props using some of the equipment in Design & Technology. They have also had a lot of fun trampolining in Get fit for Film and Cooking up a Storm!

Transition Leader and Head of Year 7, Mr Johnson;

It has been a pleasure to welcome students from all over our catchment area to this year’s Project Pixar sessions. I have seen so many enthusiastic and smiling faces making the most of the opportunity to experience what life is like in a secondary school and this will no doubt aid them in the transition that awaits them in the near future. Our Pixar pupils have also had valuable opportunities to learn new skills, whilst mixing and making friends with children from other primary schools.
