St Mary's pupils visit for Christmas Stories

Just after the start of advent, on Friday 2 December 2016, our library hosted a seasonal story telling session for Year 2 primary pupils from St Mary's School. Over 45 primary children listened intently as five of our students took turns to read Hans Christen Anderson's festive tale, 'The Fir Tree'. The story is about the journey of a young fir tree to a beautiful Christmas tree and our students used props to help them make the story come alive for their young audience.  Our students then helped the St Mary's pupils to make their own Christmas decorations to hang on their Christmas tree at home.

Megan Cuthbert from Year 7 and Year 9 students, Robin Wilson, Dan Holmes, Sydney Miller and Amy Walter helped with the St Mary's pupils.
