Year 8 Students encourage Primary School Readers

On Friday 7 July 2016, DanBFGiel Holmes and Robin Wilson accompanied by our Librarians visited Greenmeadow Primary School with a reading presentation for the Year 5 children.

The Year 8 students have created a presentation that encourages children to read more. It explains that, reading is still exciting as children get older, it's still "cool" to read and more importantly that reading helps improve all subjects.  They took the top 10 books to show the primary pupils and talked about why they liked their favourite book.

All of the children in Year 5 enjoyed the presentation immensely and one was so inspired that asked if the class could spend the rest of the afternoon reading. Robin and Daniel did an excellent job delivering their presentation in such a confident and humorous way, Mr Dunsdon, Greenmeadow Primary School.
