Trip to the German Christmas Market

A group of Year 9 students, accompanied by Ms Hunter and Mrs Lappin, set off early on Saturday 5 December to visit the German Christmas market in Birmingham. With over 180 stalls, it is one of the largest outdoor Christmas Markets in Britain. The market truly gives a flavour of what Christmas is like in Germany and gets everyone in a festive mood.

As experienced visitors this year the team set off early, knowing how busy it gets later in the day.  There were lots of stalls to browse selling trinkets, gifts and of course food and drink. With food high on the agenda, particularly sausages, gingerbread and of course marshmallows, students got on with the serious business of Christmas shopping. There was even an Advent Reed Calendar bought for a horse!

Everyone thoroughly enjoyed the festive appetiser to the Christmas season!
