Year 10 Team Building Day

On Tuesday 28 June, the whole of Year 10 spent the day completing a variety of team building challenges to encourage grit, resilience and determination. The day was also a fun reward for their hardwork during their PPE week. Students were put into groups of 4 and 5 by staff to encourage new relationships and working with different people.  The groups were aligned with Houses and students were able to earn points in each challenge. Winners to be announced!

The groups headed out on an orienteering course, designed by Mrs Chappell. They had to find 46 markers around the site, mostly white but some yellow. Each yellow unlocked a special challenge task which included a blindfolded jigsaw puzzle, water syphoning, transferring a ping pong ball with tubes and balancing a football on a tube with touching it.

Year 10 showed great focus and problem solving skills during the day. Something we hope will help motivate them throughout the rest of the challenging GCSE curriculum.

Thank you to Year 11 students Greg and Lewis Griffin and Cameron Curtis, for helping to run the challenges.
