Year 8 Explore Paris

On Saturday 9 July 2016 a group of 57 Year 8 students and 6 teachers, led by Mr Towers, had a very early start to the day as they departed for the Folkestone ferry at 5.30am to arrive at their hotel in Paris by tea time. By the end of Sunday they had taken in the Cité des Sciences et de l'Industrie, the biggest Science Museum in Europe, they had explored Paris by boat via the Seine River and seen the views from the Montparnasse Tower. The next day they visited Sacre Coeur, the nearby 18th Century Place du Tertre square and had lunch at the famous hill of Monmartre. They viewed the Cathedral of Notre Dame in the afternoon before finishing via the Arc du Triomphe and the Avenue des Champs-Élysées - phew!

The trip was a huge success, the students had a fabulous time and were paid many compliments for their behaviour along the way. After Paris and its culture had been truly explored we stopped for some fun at Disneyland before returning home to the UK.
