Year 9 Students Achieve Beyond Expectation

At the end of last term our Year 9 Religious Studies students were presented with a particularly challenging extended learning task where they had to respond to a philosophical question. This marked the end of their study about the existence of God where they explored the arguments for and against.

Students had to select a statement, write an essay on their  interpretation of it and how it linked to what they had studied plus present their work in an individual and creative way.

The diversity of finished work was stunning and the cross curriculum challenge encompassed Art and textiles subjects as well as RS.

RS Teacher, Miss Beet was overwhelmed by the response of her students, “The work produced by Year 9 was amazing. They really understood the task, engaged with it and worked so hard. They produced the best work I have ever seen on this particular project. They certainly achieved beyond my expectations.”
