Year 9 students discuss US Election on BBC Wiltshire

Emma Colman and Aishing Creevey from BBC Wiltshire Radio were impressed with how well informed our more able students in Year 9 were about the US Election, the candidates and the effect the outcome could have on the global political stage. It seemed that the students would be sorry to see Obama go as they saw him as a good president who was inclusive and fair.

The results of the Bradon Forest students vote for the US President on Friday 4 November 2016 were; 66% Hilary Clinton, 34%  Donald Trump. 22% of students voted but 30% of votes were spoilt. This exercise illustrated to students the importance of accuracy when placing a vote and how the democratic process works.
