Rocks and Rubble - A Yorkshire Adventure
Over the Easter holidays, the PE Team took 26 GCSE students for a 'High Adventure' (http://highadventureoec.co.uk/) holiday in Yorkshire as part of their practical assessment.
The mountain bike group visited Gisburn Forest http://www.gisburnbiketrails.com/ which had a varied amount of challenging routes to develop their skills and develop their confidence. There were a few crashes, but everyone made it back!
The climbers split into three groups for their practical sessions and developed their techniques over the 3 days. They collectively produced some excellent scores, showing a high level of skill and technique. The final day showed a 'competition climb' over a set route which was very challenging indeed.
Each group was awarded a High Adventure t-shirt for achievement and attitude to learning. Congratulations to the following students who, I'm sure, will wear theirs with pride!
