Just a Minute Competition!

Today saw the final of the Just a Minute competition run by the Science faculty. Students in Years 7 and 8 had been challenged to write a presentation about anything that interested them in Science to present to their class in just one minute!  Each class and their teacher chose their favourites for the Grand Final which was held at lunchtime today. There was a very diverse range of subjects - brain freeze, dinosaurs, babies, the difference between a tortoise and a turtle, digestive system, Earth, cancer, space, black holes, bones and many more!

Everyone taking part received five house points for getting through to the final.  More house points and goodie bags with chocolates and stationery were up for grabs for the winners.

This was a great opportunity for all our students giving them experience of researching a topic of their choice, writing a presentation and time keeping under pressure.
