Wiltshire and Swindon School Games

On Wednesday 10 July, Mrs Evans and Mrs Davies accompanied students to the Marlborough College for the 2019 School Games.

Schools from across Wiltshire compete in 13 different sports in a 'mini Olympics'. Bradon Forest School qualified to compete in the Year 10 rounders and the Year 8 Touch Rugby tournaments. We also had 15 students trained up who acted as young leaders on the day, officiating a range of sports.

Congratulations to all the participants, especially:

  • Year 9 Touch Rugby - Gold Medal Winners

Player of the tournament: Lucie Miles

  • Year 10 Rounders Team - Silver Medal Winners.

Player of the tournament: Katie Miles

  • DJ (Danielle Jackson) who was chosen to read the Competitors Oath during the Opening Ceremony

Mrs Evans said: "We had an amazing and successful day, competing and officiating at the School Games. Our Young Leaders were a credit to the school and our players excelled themselves coming home with Gold and Silver medals! Well done to all!"
